Quality of MIM process in many respects is defined by a sintering furnace design. It should provide uniformity of heat zones and the set temperature for all directions at various thermal modes and mixtures of sintering atmosphere. Our experts succeeded to create the optimum design of the furnace surpassing its import analogues by a number of parameters. In particular we have an opportunity of serial production by MIM technology of the parts with weight up to one kg that is unique experience in world practice.
As an example we have carried out the following experiment. In the mould intended for moulding of a plastic part (the grip of CO2 pistol SKIF A-3000), as per MIM technology the metal part was cast. You can see the result in the photos where MIM product is represented near to its plastic analogue.



As it was already said, the moulds that are used for MIM production have casting parameters, different from those that are used in casting polymers, therefore in the initial part we had some places that were incorrectly cast. But the main experiment goal, which was to confirm an opportunity of sintering "big" parts and to show up the opportunities that become available, may be considered as completely executed. Also it is necessary to point out that to receive a part of such complexity, with such quality is impossible using any other methods, except for MIM process on the equipment specially designed and made for processes of sintering big parts.
